L & I WAVE II Wall Wash Spectrometer
The L&I WAVE II has been specifically designed for applications on board chemical tankers and is a powerful tool for accurate monitoring of cargo tank cleaning operations and for determining load readiness prior to loading sensitive chemical cargoes.
The system utilises Gifford Optics for high energy throughput, a Xenon light source for long lamp lifetimes together with simple selection software and large graphical display for ease of use and data interpretation.
The stored methods include:
i.) Inorganic chlorides in methanol
ii.) Inorganic chlorides in water
iii.) Water miscibility (hydrocarbons)
iv.) APHA colour
v.) Permanganate Fade Time (PFT)
The instrument can also measure Absorbance and Transmittance at any wavelength (or series of wavelengths) so there is complete flexibility for future applications.
It is possible to scan wall wash and cargo samples to determine their purity against pre-set standards. This is a level that has never been achieved before on instruments used on board ocean bound vessels. It is also possible to determine the precise nature of contaminants, working on the fact that different chemical cargoes have different UV traces. Results may be printed to an optional integrated high quality graphical printer for a permanent record or exported via a USB connection to a suitable PC running optional Print Via Computer (PVC) software for advanced reporting or data storage.
MARINE CARE - CARECTECH SPECTROSCAN UV-VIS SMARTLOG
DESCRIPTION
The new Caretech Spectroscan UV-Vis SmartLog is the leading analysis unit for wall wash testing
and wash water analysis in the maritime market. At Marine Care R&D Centre, we have combined all
knowledge and experience in spectrometry,
tank cleaning and customers info into this
development. Featuring a modern and high
resolution touch screen for clear graphics
and navigation that ensures easy operation.
Multiple curves are simultaneously displayed in one single graph for simple
comparison of the executed UV scans.
